NAME Pilot plant for nano-enabled intermediates manufacturing : buckypapers

DESCRIPTION

Buckypapers enables the transfer of beneficial nanomaterial properties to macroscale composites. The manufacturing line for buckypapers, designed following a safe-by-design approach, has the capability to manufacture: More tan 40 m2/ week of continuous CNT sheet Material supplied in rolls of 300 mm width Also any sub-multiples (150 mm, 75 mm width) Controllable thickness between 30-200 um (according to customer demand) with options including: Protective paper layers (handling and safety only) Resin (pre-impregnated according to process) Thermoplastic films on one or both sides of the product (handling and/or processing related) The effective integration of buckypaper in a carbón fiber(CF) composite panel can lead to 22 times increase in the through the thickness electrical conductivity
