NAME Membrane Technology and Process intensification Laboratory

DESCRIPTION

The asset r.efers to an advanced laboratory for the production and testing of membranes for different gas separation applications. In this lab membranes (organic, inorganic and composites) can be produced and tested. It has a plating system for preparation of thin film and pore filled Pd based supported membranes. For the preparation of nanoporous ceramic layers as well as CMSM, it has dip-coating systems, dry systems and ovens for thermal treatments under controlled atmosphere for small-size and long-size (up to 50 cm) membranes. The lab has a spinning device for hollow fiber membrane manufacturing. Besides, the lab includes permeation systems for testing of membranes with single and mixed gases and at different temperaturas and pressures.
